The course has been official measured and verified as an accurate 10k.

All standards of runners are very welcome!

Race Information 

10K Registration: Will take place from 09:00 – 10:30am The Hut, Liddell Park, Greenlaw Road, Chapelton.  All pre-entered runners must register on the day to collect their race number.  Chapelton is located on the opposite side of the A92 from Newtonhill.

Race Briefing:  There will be a race safety brief at 10:55am to go over any safety issues and answer any questions.

Start Time: The race will start prompt from near The Hut, Liddell Park, Greenlaw Road, Chapelton at 11am.

Race Finish:  The race will finish near The Hut Liddell Park, Greenlaw Road, Chapelton. 

Water Station: This will be just after the 5k point.

First Aid: Provided by St Andrews First Aid at both the Start/Finish area and at the Water Station.

Headphones: We cannot permit the use of in-ear headphones, as part of the route is on a single carriageway road that is not closed to traffic. Bone conducting headphones and medically prescribed earphones are permitted, the use of all other in-ear headphones will lead to disqualification.

Refreshments:  Available at Hume Square after the race for all runners, and available to purchase during the race for spectators.

Toilets: Available on Greenlaw Road opposite Liddell park.  There will be no showers.

Prize Giving:  Will take place at 12:30.

Prize Categories:  Trophies (and £50 £25 £15 respectively) for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Male and Female finishers, and trophies (and £25 each) for 1st Male and Female under 18, over 40, over 50 & over 60. A trophy will be awarded to the first Chapelton resident to finish (Male & Female). All finishers will receive a unique medal.

Entry: Entry information for 2023 will be updated when entry opens.

Kids Fun Runs: At 10am there will be a 100m toddler dash for under 5s, and a 1km race for primary school children, organised by Friends of Newtonhill (FON).  For more information and pre-registration (preferred) email ChapeltonFONRun@gmail.com

General Information:  There is parking available in and around Chapelton and will be clearly sign-posted.
